"Aflac's Reimbursement Service: A Mixed Bag"
I've always gotten my yearly mammogram covered by Aflac, but this year they turned down my claim for reasons I can't figure out. I put in the request on June 28, and just two days later, it was denied. When I called to ask why, the rep couldn't give me a clear answer. They promised to escalate the issue, saying it would take three business days to sort out. But when I called back on day four, they told me it would now take 5 to 7 business days. It baffles me why it takes longer to deal with a claim than to deny it, especially since I had another claim for an accident that was also rejected, even though I have accidental insurance. I've been with Aflac for five years through my job and never had to file a claim until now. But come open enrollment, I'm seriously thinking about dropping this policy since it feels like I'm just throwing money away.

"Aflac has been consistently reimbursing me for my medical expenses. I have been extremely satisfied with their prompt and efficient service. They have always processed my claims quickly and accurately, ensuring that I receive the funds I am entitled to. Their customer support team is also top-notch, always ready to assist and answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Aflac for anyone looking for reliable and hassle-free insurance coverage."
Aflac has always reimbursed me for my yearly mammogram, but this year they denied it for some unknown reason. I submitted the claim on 6/28 and it was denied just two days later. I called to inquire about the reason, but the representative didn't have an answer. They assured me that they would escalate the claim and it would take three business days to resolve. However, when I called on the fourth day, they informed me that it would now take 5 to 7 business days. I don't understand why it takes longer to process the claim than it did to deny it, especially considering I had a previous claim for an accident that was also denied, despite having accidental insurance. I've been with Aflac for 5 years through my employer and have never had to file a claim before. However, when open enrollment comes around, I will definitely be dropping this policy since it seems like I'm paying for nothing.

"My Experience with AFLAC Over the Years"
I've been putting money into AFLAC for quite a while now. In the past, I had to visit the emergency room twice, but sadly, they didn’t cover those costs since I wasn’t officially admitted. Then there was this one time I had a heart issue that landed me in the hospital for three days. They quoted me a price, but I ended up shelling out less than half of that. Afterward, I had open heart surgery and was in the hospital for four days. I sent in a claim with all the necessary documents, as the hospital confirmed, not just once but three times. Yet here we are, two months later, and my claim is still being reviewed. It feels like their payment choices depend on who you are. I really wouldn’t recommend throwing your money at AFLAC, like I did for so long.
"I have been contributing to AFLAC for several years."
I have been contributing to AFLAC for many years. I had two emergency room visits in the past and unfortunately, they did not cover the expenses as there was no official admission. On another occasion, I experienced a cardiac event which led to a three-day hospitalization. Despite being provided with a quoted amount, I ended up paying less than half of it. Subsequently, I underwent open heart surgery and spent four days in the hospital. I submitted a claim along with all the requested records, as confirmed by the hospital, not once but three times. However, it has been two months and my claim is still under review. It seems like their payment decisions are influenced by who you are. I strongly advise against wasting your money on AFLAC, as I unfortunately did for many years.

"Right now, I'm giving them just one star."
Right now, I'm giving them just one star. Sadly, my partner died in a terrible accident on May 9th. I quickly filed a claim on May 12th. Yet, here we are on June 21st, and the status is still 'under review'. I'm really left scratching my head, where is this review happening? Getting any kind of answer feels like going through a long and annoying ordeal.

"This bill is utterly useless."
Once the first year was up, almost all my claims got turned down. The whole experience is designed to wear you out.
I've already cancelled my Aflac policy three times, but I'm still getting bills, which means I gotta make yet another call. Last time, they didn’t give me a refund. If I don’t see that refund soon, I won’t think twice about reporting this issue to the right folks.
I really recommend steering clear of this company.
"This bill is completely worthless."
After the first year, nearly every claim was rejected. The entire process is intentionally exhausting.
I have already cancelled my Aflac policy three times, and yet I am still receiving bills, prompting me to make another phone call. Last time, they failed to provide me with a refund. If I am not refunded promptly, I will not hesitate to report this matter to the appropriate authorities.
I strongly advise against conducting any business with this company.

"My First Time at This Restaurant Left Me Impressed"
This is the very first occasion I've faced such issues. I had an accident on March 6th, 2023, and ended up in the emergency room where they took X-rays. I had two follow-up appointments and got a prescription for an arm brace. But, I only got a payment of $220, which was for a wellness check that I wasn't even scheduled for until July. I've attached the ER visit with X-rays, along with the follow-up visits from my primary care doc and orthopedic specialist for their review. They said it would take about 7 to 10 business days. I'm really frustrated and thinking about pulling out of this whole situation. Every time I reach out, I just hit a wall of disappointment since no one seems to have the same info, and I get different responses each time. Plus, I haven't heard back from a supervisor.

"Aflac is a total scam."
Aflac is just a complete rip-off. Keep your cash and steer clear of it. I've been trying to get paid for a legitimate short-term disability claim for six months now. They keep dragging their feet and turning down my appeals, saying I haven't sent in certain forms. But I definitely faxed all the required paperwork. It's nearly impossible to get in touch with the appeals department since the call center won't let you, probably because they're wrongfully denying claims. The customer service is really terrible and just not up to par. Don't throw your money away on this shady operation.

"It's alright, I suppose."
I really recommend taking a good look at the policy you’re signing up for. From what I've seen, it feels like you’d have to be nearly at death's door to get back what you’ve put in. That said, the smaller payouts can still help out. For example, my therapy sessions run $80, and Aflac will reimburse $35 for up to 10 visits. Unfortunately, I had to make three different calls before I found someone who actually knew what they were talking about. My advice? Call a couple of times, maybe two or three, to see if the answers match up. It’s a bummer that you have to go through this extra hassle, but that’s just how it is.

"It's decent, I guess."
I strongly advise thoroughly reviewing the policy you are agreeing to. In my experience, I have found that I would need to be on the brink of death in order to recover the amount I have paid into it. However, the smaller reimbursements can still be beneficial. For instance, my therapy visits cost $80, and Aflac will cover $35 of that for up to 10 visits. Regrettably, I had to make three separate calls before finding someone who was confident in the figures they were providing. My suggestion is to call multiple times, perhaps two or three, to compare the answers given. It is unfortunate that this extra effort is necessary, but it is the reality of the situation.

"An utterly awful review."
This has been a truly dreadful experience. I've been hanging on for ages to get my claim payment, and I'm still in limbo. It seems like a total con. They advertise help with medical expenses, but the truth is you'll be left high and dry while you wait for any cash. I really recommend steering clear of them.

"I was chatting online when it suddenly cut off, and I was left feeling annoyed."
The chat service ended unexpectedly when I asked a question. It's really frustrating that they easily take payments from veterans for VA services, but when it’s time to pay out, they act like they don’t want to help.
